- The Holy Spirit is a person.
- Person n. – V. 7. Theol. Applied to the three distinctions, or modes of the divine being, in the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) which together constitute the Trinity.
- He is referred to by personal pronouns (Joh 14:16-17, 26; Joh 15:26; Joh 16:7-8; Joh 16:13-14; Heb 10:15).

- Jesus said that the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, would come to the apostles (Joh 14:16-17), and then He said the He (Jesus) would come to them (Joh 14:18), showing that He and the Holy Spirit are one.
- The message to the churches from Jesus (Rev 1:1; Rev 2:8) is said to be what the Spirit said to them (Rev 2:11; Rev 2:29; Rev 3:22), showing that Jesus and the Spirit are one.
- Both Jesus (Rom 8:34) and the Spirit (Rom 8:27) are said to make intercession for the saints, which demonstrates that they are one.
- The Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of Christ” (Rom 8:9; 1Pe 1:11), which again demonstrates that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one.
- The Holy Spirit is the Creator.
- He is the Creator of the universe (Gen 1:1-3; Job 26:13)
- He is the Creator of man (Job 33:4).
- The Holy Spirit is God.
- When Ananias lied to the Holy Ghost he lied to God because the Holy Ghost is God (Act 5:3-4).
- The LORD who instructed Isaiah to preach to the rebellious Israelites was the Holy Ghost (Isa 6:8-10 c/w Act 28:25-27).
- The Holy Ghost is the LORD (Jehovah) who spoke the prophecy of Jeremiah (Heb 10:15-17 c/w Jer 31:33-34).
- The Holy Ghost is the LORD God (Jehovah) whom the Israelites tempted in the wilderness (Heb 3:7-11 c/w Psa 95:7-11 c/w Exo 17:2, 7).
- The Israelites of old resisted the Holy Ghost when they were resisting God (Act 7:51 c/w Psa 78:40-42).
- The Spirit is God who works spiritual gifts in men (1Co 12:6 c/w 1Co 12:11).
