Our God is the God of heaven and earth. He has revealed Himself to us in His holy word as the triune God, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1Jo 5:7). “God was manifest in the flesh” (1Ti 3:16) as the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the eternal creator God; for we are told that God created all things “by Jesus Christ” (Eph 3:9). Jesus Christ, who is “the Lord of glory” (Jam 2:1) and the “Alpha and Omega, the first and the last” (Rev 1:11), “thought it not robbery to be equal with God” (Phi 2:6). Jesus Christ in His divine nature was not created and had no beginning or origin; for we are told that His “goings forth” have been from “everlasting” (Mic 5:2). However, His runner up “Lucifer” (Isa 14:12) is not God and one day will be cast into hell.
Jesus came to this earth to save His people from their sins. Jesus said, “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost” (Mat 18:11). It was by the “faith of Jesus Christ” (Gal 2:16) that His children are justified. It was by the “faith of Jesus Christ” (Rom 3:22) and “the faith of Christ” (Phi 3:9) that His children were made righteous. Jesus purged our sins “by himself” (Heb 1:3), and it is only “through his blood” (Col 1:14) that we have redemption.
The Bible clearly teaches that a man should be baptized after he comes to the knowledge of the truth. Only believers in the Lord Jesus Christ may be baptized just as the Bible plainly shows in the example of the Ethiopian eunuch. After the eunuch was shown the truth of Jesus Christ, he asked what hindered him from being baptized, “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” (Act 8:37).
Jesus taught us that it is very important to forgive others when He said, “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” (Mar 11:26). Jesus also told us to “bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you”, and pray for them which “despitefully use you” (Mat 5:44).
God promised to preserve his words, saying through King David, “Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” (Psa 12:7). But on the other hand, God told us that wicked men would “corrupt” (2Co 2:17) the word of God and they have indeed “changed” the truth of God “into” a lie (Rom 1:25).
Right about now the noble reader is asking himself, “Okay, so what does all this have to do with what Bible version I read?” It matters because every single verse, or part of a verse, that was quoted in this essay is missing or changed in the New International Version of the Bible (NIV), and many if not all of these changes or omissions are found in most the other modern versions as well. All quotes in this essay are from the King James Version, the pure, perfect, and preserved word of God. These are only a very small sample of the many key words, phrases, and whole verses that have been omitted or changed in the modern versions that have corrupted many important points of doctrine.
May the diligent seeker of truth be like the noble Bereans who “received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Act 17:11).
