Destroying Premillennialism in Less Than 10 Minutes

1. Premillennialism is a doctrine which teaches that Jesus will return before the “millennium”.

            Historic Premillennialism teaches that Christ will return at the beginning of the millennium and resurrect the righteous dead and set up His kingdom on earth and reign for 1000 years, after which the wicked will be resurrected and judged.

            Historic Premillennialism therefore teaches that there will be two resurrections, one of the righteous and one of the wicked, 1000 years apart.

            Dispensational Premillennialism teaches that Christ will return secretly and silently seven years prior to the beginning of the millennium and resurrect the righteous dead, and then return seven years later to setup His kingdom on earth and reign for 1000 years, after which the wicked will be resurrected and judged.

            Dispensational Premillennialism therefore teaches that there will be two resurrections, one of the righteous and one of the wicked, 1007 years apart.

1. The foundation of both of these false doctrines is destroyed by the simple fact that the Bible plainly states that there will be only one resurrection on the last day.

            Act 24:15 – And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be A RESURRECTION of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

            Joh 5:28 – Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL THAT ARE IN THE GRAVES shall hear his voice,

            Joh 5:29 – And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

            Joh 11:24 – Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in THE RESURRECTION AT THE LAST DAY.

            Joh 6:39 – And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again AT THE LAST DAY.

            Joh 6:40 – And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up AT THE LAST DAY.

III. The righteous and the wicked will live together on the earth until the end of the world.

            Mat 13:36 – Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

            Mat 13:37 – He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

            Mat 13:38 – The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

            Mat 13:39 – The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

            Mat 13:40 – As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in THE END OF THIS WORLD.

            Mat 13:41 – The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

            Mat 13:42 – And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

            Mat 13:43 – Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

            Mat 13:47 – Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

            Mat 13:48 – Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

            Mat 13:49 – So shall it be at THE END OF THE WORLD: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

            Mat 13:50 – And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

1. The Second Coming of Christ will be like it was in the days of Noah and Lot when the righteous were saved and the wicked were destroyed on the same day.

            Luk 17:26 – And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

            Luk 17:27 – They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until THE DAY that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

            Luk 17:28 – Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

            Luk 17:29 – But THE SAME DAY that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

            Luk 17:30 – Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
