Jesus is Jehovah
There is only one God.

- The LORD the king of Israel is Jehovah (the Father).
- The LORD His redeemer is Jesus Christ.
- “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” (1Pe 1:18-19)
- Jesus Christ is the first and the last.
- “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev 1:8)

- “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (Rev 22:12-13)
- There was no God formed before Jehovah (the LORD) and there was not one formed after Him.
- “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.” (Isa 43:10)
- Jehovah (the LORD) is the Saviour and there is no other Saviour.
- “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isa 43:11)
- Jesus Christ is our Saviour.
- “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luk 2:11)
- “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;” (Tit 3:4-6).
The prophesied Messiah was to be the mighty God, the LORD God Jehovah.
- “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isa 9:6)
- “Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,” (Jer 32:18).
The Messiah would be the eternal God.
- “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Mic 5:2)
- “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luk 2:11)
He would be Emanuel (God with us). (c/w Isa 7:14)
- “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Mat 1:23)
Jesus is the Word who is God made flesh.
- “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (Joh 1:1)
- “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (Joh 1:14)
Jesus is the second person of the Trinity.
- “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1Jo 5:7)
Jesus is Jehovah the great I AM.
- “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” (Joh 8:58)
- “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” (Exo 3:14)
Jesus is God.
- “Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.” (Rom 9:5)
Jesus is the true God and eternal life.
- “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1Jo 5:20)
- “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2) (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)” (1Jo 1:1-2)
The JW “Jesus” is “another Jesus” (2Co 11:4) who is a created god and therefore an idol.
- “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” (1Jo 5:21)
Jesus insists his father is greater than him, that his father is greater than all, and that his father is both his god and our god. Paul insists that there is one God the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ so how when this same Jesus prays so earnestly that if it be possible…but nevertheless not my will but yours be done, do you make Jesus Jehovah for the OT is clear that Jehovah is the Father. Seems like scripture twisting to me.
Jesus Christ is both God and man. In His humanity, the Father is greater than Him and is His God. In His divinity, He and the Father are one and are both equally God. To learn who the Lord Jesus Christ is, and who the true God is, I recommend you listen to the sermons found here: https://pastorwagner.com/jesus-christ/.
