I attended the Clay County Health Board meeting last night (8-2-21) along with about 200 other residents to protest the health department’s proposed guidance for children wearing masks in schools. Three dozen people spoke to the board giving them numerous reasons why children should not be masked for about three hours while the board members stared back with blank looks on their masked faces. They decided to postpone their decision despite the overwhelming majority of residents demanding that masking decisions be left up to parents.
