Christians and Muslims Do NOT Believe in the Same God
- The true God, Who is the God of the Bible and the God of true Christians, is a triune God (God in three persons).
1Jn 5:7 – For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
This is why the true God is referred to as the Trinity.
- The Bible plainly states that Jesus Christ, the Word, is God who created the entire universe.
Joh 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 – The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 – All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
1Ti 3:16 – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
III. Jesus is the Son of God in His human nature.
Luk 1:31 – And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Luk 1:35 – And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Mat 3:17 – And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
- These three facts, 1) that our God is a trinity, 2) that Jesus Christ is the eternal creator God, and 3) that Jesus is the Son of God, have been shown to prove that Allah, the god of Islam, is not the God of the Bible, in whom true Christians worship and believe.
If God is a trinity, and Allah is not a trinity, then Allah cannot be God.
If Jesus Christ is God, and Allah is not Jesus Christ, then Allah cannot be God.
If God has a Son, Jesus Christ, and Allah does not have a son, then Allah cannot be God.
- The Koran itself states that Allah is not a trinity, that Jesus was only a prophet, and that Allah has no son.
Sura 5:73 – “Indeed those who say: ‘Allah is the third of the Trinity’ became unbelievers. There is but One God. If they do not desist in what they say, a painful punishment will afflict those of them that disbelieve.”
Sura 4:171 – “People of the Book, do not exaggerate your religion. Do not say about Allah except truth. Indeed, the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, is only a Messenger (and Prophet) of Allah, and His Word (Be) which He gave to Mary, and a (created) spirit by Him. So believe in Allah and His Messengers and do not say ‘Trinity’. Refrain, it is better for you. Allah is only One God. Exaltations to Him that he should have a son! To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, it is sufficient that Allah is the Guardian.”
Sura 5:75 – “The Messiah, the son of Mary, was not except a Messenger, other Messengers had gone before him.”
Sura 6:101-102 – “He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have a son when He had no female companion? He created all things and has knowledge of all things. That is Allah, your Lord. There is no god except He, the Creator of all things.”
Sura 9:30 – “The Jews say that Ezra is the son of Allah, while the Christians (who follow Paul) say the Messiah is the Son of Allah. Such are their assertions, by which they imitate those who disbelieved before. Allah fights them! How perverted are they!”
Sura 19:34-35 – “Such was (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary. A saying of truth, concerning what they doubt. It is not for Allah to take a son! Exaltations to Him! When He decrees a thing He only says: ‘Be” and it is.”
Sura 19:89-92 – “Surely, you have brought a monstrous thing! Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. It is not for the Merciful to take a son!”
- If one doesn’t have the Son, he doesn’t have the Father, which means he doesn’t have God.
Joh 10:30 – I (Jesus) and my Father are one.
1Jo 2:22 – Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jo 2:23 – Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Mat 11:27 – All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Joh 14:6 – I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
VII. If you hate Jesus, you hate God.
Joh 15:23 – He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Joh 8:42 – Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Luk 10:16 – He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
