Act 3:22 – For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
1. Jesus could have been in a position of great power before it was His time if He would not have
waited and obeyed God’s will (Mat 4:8-10 & Joh 6:15 c/w Heb 11:24-26).
2. Jesus left a place of great honor and wealth to sojourn in the place where He would receive a bride
(2Co 8:9 & Eph 5:25-27 c/w Exo 2:15-21).
3. Jesus spent time in the wilderness prior to beginning His ministry to Israel (Mat 4:1 c/w Exo 3:1).
4. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights (Mat 4:2 c/w Exo 34:28).
5. Jesus revealed the true God to His brethren the Israelites (Mat 11:27 c/w Exo 3:13-17).
6. Jesus stood up to the king and spoke truth to power (Luk 13:31-32 & Joh 18:33-38 c/w Heb 11:27
& Exo 5:1-3).
7. Jesus did miracles to prove that He was the deliverer sent from God (Act 2:22 c/w Exo 4:29-31).
8. Jesus delivered His people out of bondage (Heb 2:14-15 c/w Act 7:36 & Exo 13:3).
9. Jesus had power over the sea (Mar 4:39-41 c/w Exo 14:21-22).
10. Jesus went up into a mountain to commune with God (Luk 6:12 c/w Exo 19:2-3, 20).
11. Jesus lived by faith (Heb 11:6 & Joh 8:29 c/w Heb 11:23-29).
12. Jesus was with His church during their sojourning on the way to the promised land (Joh 13:33-35
c/w Act 7:38).
13. Jesus fed people miraculously (Joh 6:5-14) in a similar way that God fed Israel miraculously while
Moses was their leader (Exo 16:14-15).
14. Jesus gives His children living water (Joh 4:10, 13-14; Joh 6:35; Rev 7:17), which is the antitype
of Moses giving God’s children water in the wilderness (Exo 17:6 & Num 20:8-11 c/w 1Co 10:4).
15. Jesus got angry with stubborn sinners (Mar 3:5 c/w Exo 32:19).
